Within the scope of the publication of tutorial applications for the Eclipse Magazin article series (Eclipse RCP, OSGi, Springframework and Maven2), HERAS-AF Engineering developed the Maven2 plugin called "Eclipse Target Platform Plugin". This plugin automatically generates an appropriate target platform based on the dependencies in the POM configurations of the projects (see
